setting up a dedicated server

im sure this question is kicked around often and i apologize for the repost

ive recently started trying to host some servers with bots on them so that i can train my buddy to stop sucking at life.

ive found that i can host dedicated by using +xxxx +xxxx commands after the bf2.exe

but i couldnt quite make things work the way i wanted because i hadnt at that time found a web page with all the admin commands, but ive since found them. my problem now is that with the dedicated server i actually downloaded i cant get it to load anything resulting in the fololowing screensot:

I have the exact same problem!

I only want a small 10 People server or somthing, iv unblocked it in my firewall, this still hasnt worked!

Please anyone help us!

Ps. have you tried unblocking it in your firewall!

negative im DMZ on my router all the time and behind a software firewall and i turn that off when i game


so i cant imagine its that

Any other suggestions to fix the dedicated server, so it actually creates the game?!

I really want to run a Clan Server!

it looks as if you have a setting wrong in the serversettings.con file... post the file configs so I can see what you've done wrong.

Also I suggest not trying to run a multiplayer server on a home connection, for starters most ISP's don't allow it so check with them first or risk getting a phone call or disconnected. Your better off renting a instance of the game from a provider. If your only wanting to run a multiplayer server for a few days or a week shot me a PM i'll work out something with you to host a instance of it on mine.
