    Vista 32-bit + Xtreme Music = no headphones = no mic :(

    Man....i don't get it, i plug in my Headset...but there is no option in Vista playback to enable Headphones...so even if i have my Creative Console set up on headphone's the sound in headphones is like Speakers, and MIC is not responding

    Help PLZ!!!!

    Sure you have them plugged in the right ports? Looks like you have one plugged in SPDIF.

      speakers = headphones,
      mic will be under recording, edit the properties of the mic and enable the booster

        And if it really bothers you that much that it says Speakers, after clicking on Properties just rename it (can even change the icon if your little heart so desires).

          Yeh vista has a weird setup, so the speakers will be your headphones!

          BUT! double check you have the correct plug in the correct socket thingy ma boby!

            All depends on whether your sound card supports headphone detection, and even then I'm not too sure that that is supported in Vista.

            P.S. When you click on Speakers and then click on Configure, you can then set it to whichever is appropriate (headphones, 2.1, 4.1, etc).
