need a little help please?

hey im a bit worried for my comp, untill a few weeks ago my computer would be able to run battlefield 2 and sandbox pretty good, with mabye the startin lag for a min or so but then it would be fine with mabye a couple spikes of lag, but lately when i play on bf2 the lag is just discusting!and the game would be crashing to desktop alot aswell. Same goes for sandbox now aswell,i dunno if i have a virus or if somin has happened to my comp but i need to find out,around christmas im gunna be upgradin my comp, with about 2 gigs of ram and a decent geforce graphics carf like a 7900 gt or somin, so hopefully that will sort it out but somin fishy is goin on with my comp, also something is sapping away all my memory on my computer aswell my memory is at almost half now and the only big thing i have installed is battlefield, is this normal?

Could be new punkbuster updates recently released, heat from dusty/dirty pc, virus, malware, etc.

Start with a manual punkbuster update.

then read the posts/stickies about the pnkbustera/b thing

and also, if ur not sure, check for virusses/adware/spyware etc
and run a defrag. as time passes, ur harddrive will get fragments
