Nametag Question - Urgent

Ok,
In Battlefield 2, if you launch the demo with battlelauncher (and it's a vanilla BF2 demo) with the option "no nametags", the nametags don't show.

But if you launch a demo that's not a vanilla BF2 demo, with the no nametags option on, the nametags still show.

Is there someplace in the BF2 files where I can turn off nametags manually?
I think I read somewhere a while back that you could, I just can't remember how.

*BTW, before anybody says it.
renderer.drawhud 0 does NOT remove nametags!

I asked this question long ago, but with every movie i see i still see the blue nametags. I dont think there is a solution, hope you find one though.

I usually try to get name tags to show and find that I have a hard time getting them to stay on :/ When I toggle through the players and the player tags don't show, I can free cam and the names remain off, same goes the other way around, I cycle through the players until I can see the name tags, then back to free cam and they stay on. Thats the way it has always worked for me.

I'll try it, I'm just so used to having no nametags and having it look better... hopefully that will work.

yes there is a way I believe, it has to do with visible distance of name tag, and you set the distance to 0, I had the console command before I will see if I can find it
