    I have this system:

    Q6600 at 2.4 GHz
    8800 GTS 320 MB
2 GIGs of OCZ Sli Ready PC6400 Dual Channel RAM
    and a 650i Ultra Motherboard

BF2 runs at the capped out speed of 100 FPS most of the time and dips to 85 in the middle of a 64 player nadefest. I have Fraps Recordings set to 60 FPS. When I run Fraps there is a 50/50 that it will record maxed out at 60 or for some odd reason plummet to 5-6 FPS when recording. What the hell is going on?

    Cheers

      Re: Fraps

Thats a whole lot of data to write to your HDD. I second you turning down the fraps recording rate or set it to write to a separate HDD that you are playing on. Remember, a PC is only as fast as its slowest component.

30is best, but if you set it on 30 & it goes below 30 while recording, then go to 25fps. you never wwant the red below what you have it set to record.
