        I had the same problem today, and so did a buddy of mine. But never had it before, kinda weird how it just came up like that. Although i found that program earlier and it did fix the problem.

          Make sure your firewall is not blocking the pnkbstrA.exe application.

            Just happened to me this morning. I was playing last night. This sucks. I stink with tech problems. How do you check to see if firewall is not blocking this?

              i just got this problem, i used to get something similar on 2142. but never on bf2, except my problem is with pnkbstrB not A. man, this sucks, punkbuster sucks. and dude your link doesnt work

                That would be because those idiot PB services finally made it to BF2 last night,

                  Yep, bunch of arseholes. Last I checked, VAC2 is 5 gajillion times better than Crapbuster and doesn't need a kernel level keylogger... ahem, service running in the background, or even administrative privileges.

                    has anyone fixed theirs? i dont get it, i was playing for ages then it sudenly stopped. now pnkbstrb isnt even running, and ive tried to reinstall PB but nothing.... peice of ****

                      Yep, I still can't play more than a minute before getting kicked. PnkBstrB is allowed to access the internet, but still kicking me.
                      pb is updated btw...

                        GUYS I HAVE A FIX DUN DUN DUN!!! ok go here


                        download "for players punk buster security file
                        and the

                        PB Client v1.732 for Win32 Filename: wc001732.htm
                        PB ClientA v1392 for Win32 Filename: wa001392.htm
                        from player client files

                        save the top one to the ea games pb folder

                        and save the other 2 to the pb-htm folder

                        and then, when you go to play, you firewall should ask if you want to allow pnkbstr a and b.
