Crash to Desktop in while "Connecting to account server"

Hello!
Every time I try to logg into BF2 I get thrown to desktop while Connecting to account server (only lasts for a moment).
I have 1.41 patch and if I have 1.00 patch this doesnt happen.
Is it wrong to install 1.41 immidietly over 1.00 ?

Please help!
All drivers are up-to-date and my graphic card is supported!

you can install the full version of patch 1.41 over 1.0 - no problem.
Can you still play the game or does it crash completely?

need more system info.. just cause you said your graphics card is supported doesn't mean it really is or isn't bad.. so more system info please :)

Here is my Crash Report:

A lot of people don't know how important directx is... Got the latest version?

Delete or move the map Battlefield 2 from my documents.. Force to boot with standard settings.. Its worth a shot.

Friend had simular problem, somthing to do with ports!

Delete all video.con files in your "My Documents/Battlefield 2/Profiles". That should fix it...

bump please need to know the outcome as i have the same problem, bf2 demo works fine and worked pre 1.41 patch
