Crash to desktop after installing v1.41

I am just installed and patched v1.41 to game
Then,when i clicked bf2 game,i crashed to desktop after 3-4secs without seeing EA Games logos!!!I tried again,it was same(Crashed again)

What will i do?

Restart comp - if that doesn't work - ???
Have you installed the full version of the patch, or just an update to the previous patch.
If it was the full version, download it from another location and try again.

I jumped from 1.0 to 1.41 FULL from EA Games official download site
Need i install 1.4 first?

what will i do?

Restart did nothing

No you don't need to install 1.4 first.

Post your specs, your graphics card may not be supported.

Try running BF2 in windowed mode and see if an error message comes up.

And yes, specs would be useful.

How to change it to Window mode?

Right-click on your BF2 shortcut, click on properties.

Then change the 1 after fullscreen to a 0.

So it should look something like this:

"D:\Games\BF2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 0

Obviously your version of BF2 will be installed in a different folder to mine so replace the line in quotes with wherever your BF2 is installed.

i did the exact thing you said to do with the whole fullscreen + 0 and i got this error,
