stealth and luck

I was sniping the MEC base from the hills near the UAV trailer. So i get back behind the ridge to reload and look back up. An APC is zooming towards me so i quickly crawled back behind the ridge. The APC drives to the top of the ridge and looks around several times. He couldnt see me cause i was directly below him. It remined me of that one lord of the rings scene with the wraith and theyre under the log....*cough* anyways yeah so he drives foward and im under the APC so i lay down some claymores and throw some grenades down since FF is off. I didnt get the kill but i scared him off

Unless he was a complete n00b, I don't think he "fled". There was probably something more important than a lone wolf sniper that he had to take care of. I bet he called for some infantry to take you out. Did you get knifed/pistoled about 10 seconds later?
