This is a rather popular thread but looking at the other threads hasn't helped a lot.So my problem is when I try to install BF2 it goes a little less then half way on the fist disk and stops and says "installation failed, please try again from the beginning". My theory is i need to buy an entirely new BF2 because of some minor scratch on the disk witch i tried to clean off but did not work.Again this is a minor scratch so i don't know if this is the problem. If you can help thanks

Try this. Copy the entire disk (or all 3) to your HDD and install it from there. Right click the CD/DVD drive, click explore. Drag the contents into a folder onto you HDD. Repeat for all discs. Here is what I did. Click setup in the disc 1 folder and it will install. Best of all, no switching discs.Comment
