So to clarify, if you only have BF2 can you get the second tier unlocks? SF owners get 2 unlocks for every level gained, can they choose the second-tier ones before clearing all first-tier ones?

Yea, if you unlock the first sniper rifle, you can then unlock the second rifle, without unlocking anything else

It is great marketing from EAs point of view.

Nevertheless, SF is always a nice change from plain old vanilla BF2.

yea especially Warlord being insurgents duck shooting the parachuters. sucks when it's you thats the one being shot though :P

Yeh, it's a ****ty and unfair practice and I think we all know that. But I'm an Enemy Territory guy first and foremost. Splash Damage and id Software don't butt **** you.

Why anyone would want to buy 2142 I do not know, all the downfalls of Battlefield 2 without any of the good things (real world weapons etc.)

Only if you can play SF using your account on some other computer. As Phusion noticed, having SF installed is not required. Getting 2 unlocks per rank and having level 2 unlocks available is all about your account having played SF, not what's on your computer.

ohh, thats why i got like 4 unlocks after playing SF online for the first time since activation, i thought it was for the stats outage reimbursal.

my SF was lagging and CTD about 3 times and i was pissed because i wanted the L96A1 so bad and didnt want to play to my first unlock, then voila, the snare roll i love so much

I got SF today and played a couple of rounds expecting to be rewarded with the sniper 2 unlock, but nothing happened. Im about 300 points away from seargent. Do i have to wait, or is something wrong?
