    BF2 on Vista 64

I installed Win Vista 64 on my PC. I can play the game, and everything runs very smoothly, but there is a problem; I cannot see any server in the game browser, although I can join a server by entering the IP address.

I turned off the firewall, thinking it could be that it's being blocked by it, but still does the same thing, so I'm not sure where the source of the problem is. I'm sure it's some sort of security something within WinVista that needs to be changed, but I'm not sure where to look at.

Anybody got any ideas? Has anyone had the same thing happen to them? Your help is appreciated.

...and I'm running the game as administrator, so the problem is not there.

    Cheers!

Have you patched to v1.41? It is a simple oversight sometimes.

Yeah I did! That's not the case here. Thank you anyways.

      Cheers!

Is there anyone using WinVista 64 + BF2 on this board?

If so, what did you do when you installed the game? Also, what kind of internet connection do you have?

I am. 1.25MB DSL connection. Install BF2 from my HDD (so I don't have to keep switching disks), install SF, patch to v1.41, play.

Go to start->control panel->windows firewall. Click on change settings, exceptions tab, and make sure that Battlefield 2 has a check mark beside it to allow it through the firewall.
