Issue with BF2, patching, and online play

Hello All,

I just patched the full 1.4 patch to bf2. I made sure that it was being installed to the right directory, and the whole process ran smoothly without any error message. But then I start up the game, and the version code in the right hand corner still says i am at version 1.1.2! Then, I attempt to play multiplayer, and I can only access about 7 different servers due to the error code of "Your game version is not the same as the server's". I am really at a loss as to what to do so any help would be apprecited. Thanks!

First of all, you should completely ignore the right hand corner version, it is always different. Second of all you should check "Same mod" or "Same version" in the Server Filters. Third of all you should reinstall the patch.

I did check same mod and same version, and I only get 7 servers to play on. if i uncheck, there is just a bunch of red servers, and those few white ones. I did reinstall the patch, if that just means running it again. other than that, any other suggestions?

The latest patch is v1.41, not v1.4.

alright, i'll try that. Do all the servers automatically update to that though, because even with the 1.4 patch supposedly installed, I cant play any other servers.

Yeah, you need to update to v1.41 to play on the majority of servers.

Nearly all servers are running v1.41. :)
