BF2 crashes when i go to join game for multilayer and single.

System Specs #1:
Intel Cure 2 Duo E6600
EVGA Nforce 680i
PNY 8800GTX OC
2X1GB CORSAIR DDR2 Dominator @ 1066 800
Western Digital 150GB 10,000 RPM
Latest Drivers are installed
Latest Punk Buster installed
Vista Ultimate 32 Bit
No Anti-Virus or Firewall Running At time of play
CABLE
LCD (normal aspect)
Fatil1ty Sound card (5.1)
Fresh Install of BF2 and Update
Tried the registry fix and re update
Tried on default settings and others
Ran as Admin. and Compatibility

Intel Pent. 4 3.0Ghz
Gigabye 2004GT
BFG 7800 GS OC
2X512 of some ram I can't recall
Seagate 120GB 7,200 PRM

I used to run BF2 fine on Specs #2. But It started crashing after I patched. So I fresh installed both systems. Anything you would like me to add? I've tried nearly everything.

I have read the FAQ and posted a ticket to EA but they just told me we don't support Vista and when ticketed on XP I was told to reinstall agian... WTF >.< (reinstalled so many times I could have marathon'ed across the US)

Try setting affinity process to only one core through the ctrl+alt+del window for the bf2.exe

Thats just really weird... I have like the same rig as you pretty much and I'm ok asides from the vista part... If you can, I'd take your XP OS and put it on your new rig until SP1 comes out for vista. When that happenes, put vista back on and then both comps will be free to use.
