commander and your badges

does being commander affect whether or not you get badges like knife and pistol. i could have sworn i got 8 knife kills but i didn't get by basic knife badge, is it because i was commander?

not like that no

you can still get the kills + teampoints medals

what you cant do is hold your knife and get 7 arty kills for the badge

8 kills in a round?

And if so, the only reason I could think is that the server didn't count the stats due to an error, or it was an unranked server.

commander only works like that when using arty and NOT for weapons

it will get you badges like AA and ground defense and the ribbons if youre sitting in the unit and getting kills with arty.

you can get it just not using arty

you have to earn it with the weapon for the badge the normal way but being commander and getting badges is not affected.

i get most of my badges while commander

thanks a lot I appreciate, another question, does it take time for badges to process, i kno with ranks at times you have to wait, is it the same with badges?

Some awards will not be given to you in game, they just pop up some time later in BFHQ, IIRC.

yup sometimes badges do lag
