System Specs:
CPU: AMD Athelon Processor 1.37 Ghz
GRAPHICS CARD: not able to find the info
RAM: 768MB
HD: Maxtor 6L040J2
OS: Win XP Pro
Anti-Virus/firewall: Fixit Utilities 4.0
Internet connection: DSL
I looked through the forums and used the search and I'm not sure if my problem is similar to other memory problems encountered, but here's the general situation with what knowledge I have available.
Since my PC sucks and at present can't afford to upgrade, I use my brother's PC with the above specs. As for the graphic card, I am unable to find one listed and therefore think it's one that is embedded with the motherboard types. In any case, I recieved a copy of BF2 Collection for my Birthday a couple days ago and played it fine. The initial problem were pop-ups kept minimizing my screen making gameplay rather difficult and needed a reformat due to problems with the antiviral program not really being effective at all.
After the reformat, the PC is no longer able to play the game and immediately quits to the desktop on initiation of the game via desktop links and direct start from DVD/PC menu tag. I checked the EAsy Info tag and it said "Display memory was insufficient" aparantly it isn't getting any now as it says the display memory is at o.o (I need at least 128 it says) and I'm unable to change it with what little knowledge of memory allocation I have. I was wondering if there was a way to change that info so that I can play the game again. I know that the processor speed isn't the issue because on game trials and reporting, they were able to get the game to function fine at as low as 1ghz speed.
Also, I purchased the game from a Disc Go Round so I am unable to register to access the Armored Fury/EuroForce add ons even though they installed successfully. I was wondering if there was a means to get past that to be able to get what I paid for with the collection.
All and any help is appreciated as I hate to be stuck not playing the game for another couple years.
