Well, I am going to point whore the hell out of it for a little while. (just a little while). I am not going to jump in the gunner's seats, but I am going to go support/medic and fly the hell out of it as a squad leader.

But yeah, it was nice when everyone could stay in the chopper, and cap a flag without getting out. And everyone would share points for heals or supply points, or kill assists! Oh! The glory days.

The old BH used to require a lot of teamwork which made it very fun and good, you would need at least 2 people on the side repairing as it became the target of nearly the whole MEC team once they saw it flying over and when you could cap a flag with all the guys in the BH it was a only a few secs before you got a flag it was great.
As MEC also if i herd the BH i would run for some cover, and yes now the skycow is just as bad as the BH.

Nerfing the blackhawk really killed the teamwork aspect of BF2. At least then people were working together to get points in a vehicle. My old clan still thinks that the BH is underused and just take practice to master. :rofl: good thing I go out of there the leader was abit naive.

Yep, there is one thing I say just as much as I say about EA letting community made maps into the ranked pool...they should put the old Havoc guns on the Flying Cow and restore the Blackhawk guns. Both birds would be evened out as far as firepower. Now, maneuverability....that is something different.

Actually! Iron Gator and Ghost Town would be very interesting after that was done!!!! Damn, now with the improved AA, BF2 would be a totally different game! People would start strafing that carrier deck like nothing before!

I hear ya dude. I love playing Mashtuur to fly around as a medic/support. Not like anyone on the ground ever knows what the heck I'm trying to do, whether it be heal them or resupply them. Guess they never heard of dustoffs. I like to make a squad called Blackhawk or Helo, but it's rare people ever spawn off me. I don't get it.

The BH made Wake Island worth playing. The BH was the american answer to the J10's power. J10 couldn't destroy one without ramming it half the time. At the same time the BH could cap all the chinese flags in no time. It at least gave the american's a fighting chance in some situations.

I want EA to at least restore the BH's miniguns. They reduced the ability to repair significantly - so why did they need to remove the minigun's power?

Since my box loads maps pretty quick, I can form a squad and rush the BH before anyone spawns in. Thing is, I don't have time to type in a squad name of BH. But the regulars seem to know what you are up to.

Thing about Mash, it has a lot of valleys and obstructions to if you can drive the BH like a racecar, you can really avoid a lot of the AA nests on the map. It is all the kats that are manning the .50 cals that eats you up.

That is one of the biggest complaints people still tell DiCE. Sadly I don' think we are going to see any revisioning.
