BF2 in windowed mode

If you run BF2 in a window mode with a lower resolution(say 1024x768 on a 1280x1024 screen) will it look fuzzy like it usually does if you're running full screen but on non native resolution?

im assuming it would,i play bf2 on 800x600 on my crappy rig at my house and the monitor native res is 1280x1024 screen ,granted i runa 5500 fx but it doesnt look "fuzzy"

Be careful when running windowed mode. It sometimes causes graphics glitches which can appear to be "hacks" when captured in a PB screenshot.

I have a widescreen and dislike the idea of losing vertical portions of the screen... it's important for helicopter pilots.

Digressions aside, I tried windowed mode with a standard 4:3 resolution and it worked beautifully. My only complaint is that I can't seem to have the ability to move/center the window on my desktop.

I tried scaling options with nVidia's control panel but the driver doesn't work with my card series right now, so I'm **** out of luck.

Not that it matters much though, I can't play online over here anyway, so it's all pointless b*tching on my part...

I run in window mode on my widescreen and use the space on the right side to keep track of who's on teamspeak. I don't notice any fuzziness. In terms of moving/centering the window, use the +wx [number] +wy [number] commands to move the window to a place of your liking. Just put a space after the x and y and then put the number (no brackets). As an example, I use +wx 1 +wy 1 and simply added them to my bf2 shortcut.

How do you run windowed mode? I am running a 24Incg dell with a natice res of 1900x1020 forced in the taget field .

My I/O skills suck so i want to see if it because of my forced res?

In order to run in "Windowed" mode, find your BF2 shortcut, right click--> select properties. On the "Target" line, after the quotes (should end in BF2.exe") space one over and add +fullscreen 0.

To change it back, change the "0" to a "1".

Assuming we're talking about an LCD then yes. (Although some people say they don't notice any fuzziness at non-native LCD resolutions.)
