Help deciding..

Ok, sorry for a waste of a thread, but I've really been having trouble deciding what to take for my unlock. I just got the Staff Sargent promotion and the SF expansion. The 3 guns I'm debating over are the l96A1, the G36E, or the F2000. Right now I really only play on Karkand. The gun I use the most is the G3. So the F2000 would seem like a logical choice. However, no one seems to be using that or the G3. The G36E seems to be pretty popular choice right now, so I might just hop on the band wagon and go with that. The L96A1 is probably not what I'm going to go with, but I might conscider it if neither of the ohter guns seem worth taking.

Any advice?

I can tell you right now.. that the l96 is a supreme killer.. about 60% of the time when i get killed.. it's due to the uncanny accuaracy of the l96. But if you are not usually a sniper.. then don't bother. If you don't already have the M95 unlocked.. then you can't unlock the l96... it's a second tier weapon. If you did unlock the m95, and don't mind playing sniper kit from time the time, it is worth it's weight in gold.

The G36E - or noob cannon seems to be unrealisticly accurate compared to other rifles that have optical sights. However take advantage to the fact the EA can't code anything properly, and go for the G36E if you want a weapon that will take out targets well beyond it's intended range. But IMO, don't take the 36 if you don't intend on playing the role of a medic. Nothing is worse than a selfish self-healing medic with a noob toob that is concrned more about kills than helping out others.

I quite like the F2000, it's a pretty good gun.

I would suggest playing a few rounds as the Brits in Special Forces so you can try out the F2000 and the G36E.

Don't take unlocks seriously, because i know for a matter of fact you won't ever stick to one gun. This is my history of gun whoring:

and now ive just noticed the MG36.... its like a bf2 lifelong thing of deciding on a weapon.

I say just get the gun you want the most, dont listen to any suggestions.

I'd have to say the G36E. Up until a couple days ago the only time i played medic was for the basic badge, but now its my main class. I play I/O servers and just rape with the G36E, its very accurate up close and at a decent distance, along with the healing of a medic you can run around for quite a while.

G36E sucks anyways.. sprays too much.

AK101/M16 are fine for medic unlocks... If you go sniper.. then.. yeah... don't go sniper. F2000 is good sometimes bad other times. Don't listen to the people that are like "z0mg the l96 is so accurate OMGGGG!!!111" M24>L96A1. The L96A1's sight picture is off from where the bullet actually goes, the M24 isn't.. only advantage the L96A1 has is the thinner sights, but that doesn't matter cause if you are shooting from far away there will be bullet drop.


So... IMO... don't go on the bandwagon with EITHER, and pick the F2000. G36E is good, but it's ****ing overrated, L85A1 and M16/AK are both better than the G36E.. And you don't want to be the typical sniper pubby.


Plus... what pisses you off more than when you get flashbanged... lawl

It depends on what you are wanting out of your gun,for me i hate all semi- automatics so the G36E is not what i would recomend,althought it is a very good gun, but i would recomend the spec-opps G36C whitch is such a good gun for very long range shooting as long as its on singel shot, i often ues it as a extra sniper kit, i take alot of snipers on with the G36C and win, and its fully automatic too,
The F2000 is a good gun,very powerfull,pretty accurate,and fully auto, but the bad side to the F2000 is it has a lot of recoil.
The L96A1 is for me one of the best guns in the entire game and is defo the best sniper by far,once i unlocked it i found that i was getting about 60-70% more kills in a round.
