Coming Back To BF2

Well a few years ago when i bought BF2, some freinds and i got really into it. I mean we would play it almost every day after school together. We used to play all the city maps and a bunch of IO maps. When we got bored of playing hardcore we would goof off and jihad jeep some people in Karkand. Even if we got more bored of that we would do stunts in planes and cars. Finaly we got into sandbox and played it all the time. That is until 2142 came out. We all hated the whole futuristic battles thing... so we feared that the community would fall into EA's grasps...

So we went out and quit, and played some other games like CoD2, CS:S, and a few other games, but none of em compared to the fun we had in BF2. So now we are having BF2 withdrawls and are thinking about going back into it. The only question i have is wether or not lots of people still play it... and if they do are they like hardcore, sandbox players, or do they just like to goof around.

So basicly all im wondering is if lots of people still play. Are there still lots of 64 player servers that are full almost always? and do lots of people still do alot with sandbox and other mods? cause i really want to get back into this game, but i dont know if the community is still there.


AND i was wondering if anyone could answer another question. I have two PC's in my basement and the both go into the same HUB. Can i play on the same server since they are both connected in a sense because i know it did not work with CS:S?

BF2 didnt lose any popularity to 2142....It still has plenty of people playing....

o lol thanks for that its just when 2142 came out, we saw server numberes drop huuuge... but either people came back or it was just the nubs leaving...

They is still lots of people playing, you will never find an empty server at any hour you play the game, and all the mods that were created make it even better, like PR, PoE and SandBox and the newer version of sandbox.

come back youll have lots of fun, i suggest you do this.

practice the fire team system used by the us army and marine coprs then use it in bf2 and PR youll own.

The last time I looked there were 1072 servers online.

On a slow day there are 376, and about half are full.

cool im gonna pic it up as soon as i can and my name will probobly be something like DrunkenGunner(random numbers)

i used to be drunkengunner11... i think i had whatever badge was 44,000 points... then they started changing stuff and i lost track.

but i rember my kdeath was like 2.76

just a matter of getting back into the style after the fast paced CS:S and COD2
