Account-Making Woes

Not exactly a hardware problem, but...

I just installed the BF2 total collection and went through the prompts to make an account. I enter in my account name, e-mail, etc., and hit submit..only to have the program tell me that there's already an account name under that address. I try to retrieve it, and it says that the e-mail is "in use." I just installed this thing, and I know I didn't make up an account for it. I try an alternate email address, same situation. Any ideas as to why BF2 is claiming rights to an address that was never entered?

u can just make up any random email. udont need a real email for registering ur account. u only rly need an email if u forget ur password and want to reset it

Have you registered that E-mail on Gamespy previously? That might be causing it.

But I'd do what Conscript said, just type a random address.

That same thing happened to me when I tried to install my complete collection...
