Hey,

Next month i get a new pc for my birthday im getting it from dell here is the system stuff, could you take a peek and tell me what you think!
Would be greatly appreciated!

PROCESSOR:
~ AMD® Live Technology - Athlon™ 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5600+

OPERATING SYSTEM:
~ Genuine Windows Vista™ Home Premium - English

MEMORY:
~ 4096MB 667MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM [4x1024]

HARD DRIVE:
~ 250GB (7200rpm) Serial ATA Hard Drive with 8MB DataBurst™ cache

GRAPHICS CARD:
~ 256MB nVidia™ GeForce 8600GT graphics card

OPTICAL DRIVE:
~ 16x DVD+/-RW & 16x DVD Drives

Would This run BF2 good, Will it lagg at all and if it does will the Graphics be any good, or will it by rubbish.

The 4 gb of ram is useless, I believe that only the 64 bit editions of vista support that much. Also, that graphics card is ok, but not that great. But, for the answer to your question, it will run it at mostly all high/medium.

This System Is £590 But i shud be able to Knock it down abit over the phone...

Is it a waste of a extra £90 just for the Xtra 2gb to up it to 4Gb ram.. if so id rather save my dads cash!

instead of spending the extra cash on 4gb of emmory which you wont need get a 8800gts 320 mb.

You do not need 4gb of ram. Not to mention it will be more of a hassel for you to use a 64bit OS seeing as how there are still many driver problems in an 64bit environment.

32bit sounds like it is all you need and if your goal is to only play BF2, why dish out money at something you won't be using?

I don't know for sure but from what I hear, a 7600 - 7950 should run bf2 all maxed out on high. You can also do a X1950 pro by ATI.

One last thing, that cpu is great but if you can get a C2D it will be better.

I wouldnt get the 4GB either, i had 1.5 GB run mine great, i upgraded to 3GB only difference i could tell was the loading & unloading, the unloading really kicked in , but it was big price i thought it would help me 2.

graphic card's where its at, not too mention a good ISP highspeed
