Since many clans/game community's are using this great tool I thought I let you guys know in this section that there is a update!

Greetings TeamSpeak Community!

We have released a new version of the TeamSpeak Server 2.0.23.19. This version contains numerous security patches, including a hotfix which patches a recently discovered exploit which could allow an attacker to read files on the local hard disk where the TeamSpeak server is installed. We urge you to update your server binary files as quickly as possible. Downloads are available from our Downloads page.


In most cases if you are using a recent version of the server, you will only need to download and replace the 'Updated Executable' for your relative operating system. However, a full distribution package for 2.0.23.19 is also available.

Vent>TS, IDK i always found TS to be too vulnerable, i do have both installed, with this new patch perhaps they have fixed some breaches, but i still prefer the sound quality/options of vent though

I have used both, dont hear much difference in sound
Ventrilo have more options, TS is basic but does the job well for everyone without all the extra`s

I don't see how you can't tell the sound difference

Vent is way better in sound than TS is, but with TS3 right around the corner I think they will match it and with TS3 being FREE than what Vent is to run a server instance of it I think you will have alot of people move over from the paying of rented vent servers to a TS server.

I never understood this issue?
Are you guys saying that with the same codecs you are still hearing a difference?

I hate ventrilo because the voice, THE VOICE!!! I'm running out of underpants here..

I think Vent is better. I hear a difference and the people I use them with do too. Plus there is a 1000 to 1 ratio of people looking to spam a TS server over Vent servers.

TS is much more user friendly and is goood enough with the better codecs.

I always found vent to be annoying for some reason. Too loud or too soft. I guess thats my error but w/e.
But all in all vent's sound quality and more truer voice reproduction win over TS if your looking for that type of thing.

I prefer TS as it doesn't seem as loud. But to me they are both annoying. It just seems that people talk more on 3rd party SW. vs. IG VOIP. And really are only good from gaming communities.
