Ok, so i got my new dell laptop with vista today, and i decided id put bf2 in it and patch it. Then i join a server and presto 100 fps:shock: , so i crank up the settings and yet at everything high with 2x AA i got 45 fps constant. WTH! my computer cant do that. It barely gets 50 fps with everything at medium. They both have vista home premium 32bit

Laptop Specs:
C2D T7300 @2.00 ghz
2 ghz ddr2 667 ram,
Geforce (256) 8600m GT
160gb Harddrive@7200rpm
15.4in @ 1650-1050

Comp Specs
C2D E6600 @ 2.8ghz
2 ghz Corsair XMS2 @ ddr2 800
Radeon x1900gt
160gb harddrive@7200rpm
19in LCD @ 1280-1040

This just proves that radeon x1900 preforms badly at BF2,
But anyone else with a x1900 that runs bf2 @ high settings, please reply.

Are your video drivers up to date? I recently downloaded some newer ones for mine, and got double the performance.

Resolution. You are playing on a smaller resolution, most likely. Actually, not too sure. Something is wrong.

1680x1050 = 1732500 pixels, 1280x1024 = 1310720 pixels.

Alright, something is screwed on your PC. I was getting similar frames to that laptop with value ram, e6300 (stock) and a 7600GT (at 1280x1024 however). It should eat it for breakfast with leftovers. Try overclocking the GFX card and see if there is any rise in FPS.

I had an x1950 for brief period and it worked pretty nicely on all high.
