Is the latest patch(most servers run)1.4 or 1.41?

Hi, i've been away from this great game for quite a while. now i'm gonna install the BF2 original and SF for my 13 y/o nephew who's coming to town next week.

Should i patch 1.4 or 1.41?

Bigger number isn't always better, is it?

i'll do this
BF2 => SF => full 1.41

maybe i can play a few rounds later:)
