How to change menu music?

Yep, I am back again. I am trying to tidy up my mod and add some finishing touches, music being one of them. I am currently trying to change out menu music, ya know the one that plays right after the chic says welcome to duty and your at the main bf2 screen where you choose what you wanna do. I have already converted my music over to ogg format. I thought for sure I had done it correctly but instead of playing my music, of the original music for that matter, i get nothing, just silence. Now i have read up on the net for about 45 minutes now to see what the deal might be, but i have yet to find an answer, and I figured since I got such a quick fix on my last question I figured I could ask this one too. If you know what might be wrong please let me know, thanks again, Corndog

Where did you put your music?

Open your mods common_client.zip
Winzip or Winrar, whichever you are comfortable with.
In the zip navigate to \sound\menu\music\

Rename your music file to menu_music.ogg and add it to the archive using the add function of either Winzip or Winrar.
It will overwrite the existing music so either back that up if you care about it or just let it be overwritten.

Thanks for all the replys, I figured out what it was. My convertor wasnt outputing into the right ogg format. I found another convertor and everything is working like a dream, Thanks again, Corndog

I know this thread has been dead for a while, so Id hate to drag it up again.

I am having the same problem as the OP, try as I might, still no luck. I have converted the file to .ogg, renamed it, and plopped it in the right location... typically, no luck.

Can anyone help? I noticed the last post was solved via the use of a different programme, any recommendantions?

I PM'd corndogus about it...

I've gotten ingame .ogg sounds to work properly, but can't properly convert the menu .ogg's. What converter, and with what settings, did you convert with?
