Personally I would go for the 360, I think its far better value for money, and has a much larger selection of games. Also I thought GTA was coming out for Xbox 360 aswell.

Go for the games. Since at the moment, the gap between the consoles is small, you should pick one for the games youre playing. If your mate is playing an online game for example (GoW, R6V), and youre interested in those titles, check the X360.

Im going for the PS3, GTHD, RE5, Ace Combat and MGS4, Silent Hill aswell.

I would have to go with the PS3 because it has GTA, Gran Turismo HD and some other good games, and now that the price has been dropped by £50 or so.

Plus, after hearing that every Xbox360 is faulty, i don't think i want that.

But overall, i would rather have a new computer.

I would personally go with the 360, They both basicly have the same graphic capabilities. Its just that 360 has a better online network, more games, and cost alot less.

To answer all of your questions... Yes, GTA is coming out for the 360 as well. If you ever have doubts that a game isn't coming out for the 360. Think again becuase almost all of Playstations exlusive titles now have jumped onto the xbox 360. The only games that I can think of right now that the Ps3 has exclusive is. Socom, Grand Trismo, Metal Gear, and Kill Zone.

For all the people that are thinking about buying a xbox360 now. Don't worry about the defualty system problem now becuase they have fixed the problem, Supposably.

i have both

reasons for 360 halo, splinter cell, bioshock, and some others
ps3 metal gear, little big planet and blu ray player

and gta is for both

this has been along argument about which is best, i got a 360 and im glad i did, but i also want to get a PS3 so i can get MGS4, i think everything would be easyier if next gen games where on both consoles.
