Global Unlocks for LAN

Hi,

I am sorry if this has been asked already, but going through several pages of stuff I didn't see anything for this particular question.

My question is this.... My husband and I play each other over a LAN connection, and we are stuck on how to get global unlocks through our LAN server. We've tried several things, but can't seem to get anything unlocked.

I am hoping you guys could tell us how we could do this.....we are dying to try out the new weapons and all....

the term 'Global Unlocks' allows people to use the unlocks they have from playing ranked on LAN and non-ranked games

if you revert to version 1 you can change a line in the files that unlocks all the weapons, sadly though you wont be able to have the SF unlocks

Someone did manage to backport the SF (and possibly EU) weapons to a mod for v1.00. I don't think they released it as a mod although it would probably be legal since all the content was released in patches (aside from the few SF non-unlockable weapons). I haven't tried to recreate it yet since if I'm running a mod anyway I just modify all the kits to have my preferred weapons.

For testing the new weapons, either FFOLKES' unlock mod(s) linked to earlier or wolfi's earlier weapontest mod (http://www.totalbf2.com/forums/showthread.php?t=56694 ) should work.

Use FFOLKES unlocks mod. It works a treat.

Thank you everyone. About an hour after I posted this, hubby discovered FFOLKES....lol but we are going to check out all the other suggestions too. Your info's were great...thank you again. :P
