Failed installing battlefield 2 try again

Hello, have been playing bf2 for years now and i wanted to clean my comp so bf2 would run faster..


I recently uninstalled bf2 from my drive E, and i have formated all my drives C,D,E,F .. Now i have a clean PC and go to install Battlefield 2. I install it choose to install in E drive has 91 gb to my C drive that only has 10gb (windows processor), now its installing fine up untill it tells me to "Insert Disk 2" i do so now as soon as i hit "retry" it tells me "Failed to install battlefield 2, try again later". well this happens and now i try to reboot, i even used a different Bf2 CD disk 2, i have 3 btw. What i cant understand is why this will not install even tried every drive on a fresh computer. All my drivers are up to date, dx10 installed,net framework 2.0 all installed.. i have no other programs. i just want to play BF2


can anyone please help me ? i searched here and many other sites for answers but i have come up short.

This is weird since you already chose the path before installing. How about just installing on C to avoid problems.

almost impossible to do that, my C drive contains 10gb, and it has 2gb free, C drive is my operating system .. My E drive has 91gb and i save all games to that and works fine...

i have tried alcohol 120 and tried to mount images and when i went to install i still got the "failed to install battlefield 2, try again" message... the discs are fine i was able to install it on my other computer.. i dont know why its doing this.

After attempting to reinstall BF2, the same thing happened to me. BF2 FAILED, TRY AGAIN FROM BEGINNNING. Disk 2 also. I too have a seperate HDD for my games. Weird thing is, I just had it installed on that drive, but it wont reinstall.

exactly the same problem as me, i have been playing bf2 for about 2 years fine on this computer, but then after i uninstalled and then formated all the HDD's to go Reinstall Battlefield 2 i get the "BF2 failed, try again from beginning". usually happens right after i pop in disk 2 and click "retry" i have tried over 3 different disk 2's, none work... I have tried manually installing which failed , i believe i have no traces of Battlefield 2 on my PC. i have tried to use alcohol 120 and mount the cd's. that didnt work i am stumped i still have the damn error when i go to install.. any one here have solutions???
