Hi
My battlefield 2 is randomly freezing at random times, could be 30 seconds, could play an entire game without a crash.
My specs are
AMD Athlon 64 x2 3200+
1gb ddr2 ram
nforce 630a video card (onboard, but dont diss it it plays MANY new games fine.)
Realtek HD Audio (onboard too)
I think the culprit is sound though.
A few examples of when the game has crashed :
When an airplane is flying overhead
When artillery strikes hit the ground and make the boom
Getting shot by a sniper
A rocket flying past my head
These sounds are all relatively loud, and they've all frozen my game, and the sound repeats for 10 seconds then crashes to desktop.
Anyone have any ideas?
I've tried lowering sound quality, changing from hardware to software buffering, disabling the creative EIX stuff...running out of ideas
