Anyone answer this DEFINITIVELY!

when you log onto a server and you get the 'private bug', meaning your badge and rank show as private and you dont get the unlocks - do you, or dont you get the points earnt whilst a private.

or are you essentially playing for nothing (unranked)

i am confused now, as i just had a few damn good rounds and nothing showed up.

I have always assumed that you do get your points but to me its no fun coming in as a private b/c most of the time you don't have any unlocks.

you get the points. theres still some lingering stats issues though so that could be the problem.

The private bug is nice because then everyone calls you a hacker.

But yes, you will get the points.

you get points but afaik you dont get medals except gold/silver/bronze. but it is fun to earn 5 bronzes over again in one round

I usally just leave I dont like being restrained to the default weapons in a pub.

Agreed, i did leave at first, re-started the game, logged back in, joined, same thing, althought this time i was private badged, but had my all the unlocks, lol - so i didnt want to restart again, only had limited time to get some play in...so went ahead, hence my question.

Yeah, half of the time when I get the Private bug I do have my unlocks.

I have never really paid attention if my points have updated from a private bugged round.

i had the private bug but i still had my unlocks and yeah the points updated for me and this was like 4 days ago
