Cheater ownage

This cheater came into our Karkand server this weekend spamming the web address of his cheat site. He taunted us for a while. He was telling everyone that his cheats were the best and that it was almost impossible to get banned. I changed some of the names. The cheater is Txxxxx.

Here's a snippet from our logs: Sxxxxx31 1 Global [01:04:25] admin cn we get a pb scan?
Txxxxx 2 Global [01:04:33] nope
Txxxxx 2 Global [01:15:18] but xxxxxxx has the best prices and its pretty much impossible to get banned

I took my time and let him talk his crap until I got what I wanted. The results are here.

It was one of the sweetest bans yet. He lied when he said admins couldn't get pbss because I got two with no fog turned on. That's the only thing he had on but it was enough. OWNED!

We had a guy spamming that website as well. Just banned him. Sad really.

A few days later he or someone affiliated with that site came into our Oman server (with a different GUID, hash and IP) doing the same thing so I just banned him straight up. I think they are on an advertising campaign right now.

you know business is really bad in the hack world if they need to resort to spamming individual servers. sound like visa and mastercard must of finally kicked them to the curb for too many charge backs.

Idunno...

Coming from Starcraft and Diable 2, there were chat rooms that you could sit in until you found your game and it would be constanly full of bots spamming hack sites. There was also the bots that randomly joined your game and spammed there advertisements and left after...

Thats just the way hacks get around.

Battlefield 2 would be a better game without that fog jazz, but it doesnt excuse cheating, nice job :)

Yea probably, and I must say its a real pain if you don't use a mic ( I didn't till like 5 months ago...well one that would work..) and trying to tell your team mates something while theres a guy spamming site address's:|:

We had someone come into our server the other day and play like normal, but I guess he got mad or something. He started spamming a website automatically somehow, so that it showed up excessively like a hundred times in under a few seconds. The messages were being posted too quickly for the players, so they all got disconnected.

So, effectively, there must be some sort of hack to spam a message multiple times to get everyone disconnected from the server as well. :|:
