Umm, no, it's based on the Nintendo Wars series (including games such as Advance Wars), which has been around since the NES days. To be more specific, Famicom Wars came out in 1988. Battlefield 1942 released in 2002. That's a 14 year difference there.

Besides, BWII isn't even an FPS, it's a Third Person Shooter/RTS combination. Far from Battlefield 2.

As for the graphics, it's just the art style.

                  DO SOME RESEARCH BEFORE POSTING.

Some copy. I had a feeling you joined this forum just to post this pathetic topic.

Also its not meant for your age bracket the game is meant for kids around the ages of 8-12 and thats why they have "baby graphics".

The original Battalion Wars carried the Teen ESRB rating (same as all games in the BF series), and its sequel will likely bear the same.

The more "rip-offs" of BF2 the better. This game has its own bloody genre and it's about time it launches. Just like "Doom-Clones", I'm waiting for "BF2-clones". ETQW & Crysis are two that come to mind.

people dont follow the ESRB ratings the only people that do are the really strict parents unless its an 8 year olds trying to play a mature rated game. think about how old were you when you saw your 1st pg-13 rated movie?

Still, it's not necessarily aimed at just 10-12 year olds.
