    Need Help!!!

A few weeks ago i bought Battlefield 2 Special Forces and installed it. I ran it but it popped up with an error about shaders/Lighting. So i uninstalled BF2 SP and re-installed it again, but then had the same problem. I then uninstalled BF2 and tried to re-install, But a message popped during the installation process after inserting disc 2 saying "Failed to install Battlefield 2, Try again from the beginning". I read the tutorial steps that EA made on removing all BF2 files and did it but i still got the same message. I've tried a lot of things to completely remove BF2, such as downloading Regseeker, Searching my registry and deleting all BF2 oriented files. I have no Viruses because I just got a new computer and have top security programs. Ive tried using my friends BF2 disc 2 but still the same problem.
If you any ideas/Suggestions please write back.

use system restore if you have it turned on and roll back a good bit and try again.. otherwise if the system is brand new.. just reload windows back on and then try cause it sounds like something is corrupted.

Well i cant use system restore because right when i got my pc i installed bf2 the first day, before i even installed some of the drivers. I do want to reinstall windows but im afraid since it took me so long to find all the drivers that i might not able to find them again.

windowsupdate should load the majority of what you need...

otherwise its Graphics driver, sound card driver and perhaps a few other things but just make a Disk with all them on it then go for it.

          Re: Need Help!!!

I built my pc from pieces so alot of the drivers are different. For example the first time i booted up the pc the cd drives and mouse drives wouldnt work. Its not the graphic drivers or sound drivers because i had been playing bf2 on High with my 7900 for a few months before.

          anybody have any ideas.

          Im probably gonna reinstall windows.

Yeah probaly reinstalling would be best
I also think think when the shaders/lightning that only happens when u play for the first time online or singleplayer. Though get a computer friend to help u getting the computer back togethor.

I think that you need to get some hardware issues sorted out before you try BF2. Are you using a SATA optical drive or IDE? Check the BIOS settings for boot order.
