I'm trying to make this game interesting for me again, so I decided that I would start playing clases that I normally don't. So I figured I would play assault. Any tips as I suck with this kjt right now. Best weapon and what not to use. Thanks in advance.

personally, I practiced using the grenade launcher attachment when I picked up the kit and aimed for my 100hours. Figuring out distance w/ those crosshairs was key for me.
I like the F2000 and it's sites. G3 has some balls, just no grenade attachment. -

yeah practice with the M203/gp30. theres no method i know of for using the nade launchers except for just having the feel of where its going to land.
i just recently started to use Assaut whenever i play MEC in karkand and it kicks arse. the nade launcher is pretty decent, but the ak101 just rips through ppl. also its good to keep a support person nearby to rearm ur nnadesComment

well comparing G3A3 VS AK101 on BF2s.com
G3 does slightly more damage than AK101 but they BOTH take the same # of hits to kill someone (3 for non armor and 4 for armor)
G3 is slightly more accurate
AK101 has a a much quicker draw time
G3 only has 20 rounds whilst the AK101 has 30
Ak101 has a nade launcher attached

go for the standard witch is my fevorites ( ak and m 16 ) with grenade luncher its cool and when you play with the m16 press #3 to fire singel bullets its better and more accurecy than firing 3 bullets togetherComment

AK101/AK47 are the best assualt guns. If you like your burst shots than you won't mind the usmc one (I'm starting to like it more).
Anyways, as for aiming te nade pounder tube - Never zoom in. Just aim the top two crosshairs slightly above an enemy depending on the distance. After you launch a few you'll get a feel for it. Of course the enemy is closer, then you point the top crosshair at his feet.Comment

The flash bangs work great if you use your head when you use them. I will toss them over a wall or over a building and sometimes just toss them and drop down and let my squad mates come in and clean up after I flashed myself. I also have started throwing them on top of buildings and flashing those attack chopper guys. I dont know if it works on the attack choppers but its fun to think so.
The rest of the weapons arent bad for close combat but you will need to spend some time getting the feel of the granade launcher. The GL will take down any cheater out there when used properly and dont forget that the granades it shoots do bounce. I like to bounce them around corners in alley ways. Lots of fun. . . . . . . . .RedComment

My tips are: don't be afraid to be in the heart of firefights, where you'll inflict the most damage as assault. At first your k/d ratio will suck but then your reflexes will improve and you'll get a feel for CQC combat and own.
All the assault weapons are basically good but be aware that the m16 can often be more accurate when unzoomed.Comment

Learn the grenade launcher. Once that is mastered, learning to use the gun is the same as the rest.Comment
