Vista Problem?

I have windows vista and on the net it said that single player should work fine... so I put in my cd, and double click the icon on the desktop and a black screen comes up and immediately goes away bringing me back to my desktop. The game doesn't start... any ideas on what might be causing this and how I can fix it?

I click Run as admin every time.... Hmmm starnge thats its not happenign on mycomputer (vista)

Lol, I just bought the game today and this is what happens. :P. I'm installing the 1.41 patch for BF2, if that doesn't work, I don't know what will .

My specs are:

1.86 ghz
dual processor
100gb

video specs?? ...and are all drivers up to date?

Well if your video specs are good enough then i can only suggest you right click the shortcut and click "Run as Admin".

yeah these specs are not good enough to figure out what your problem is.. Need to know what video card your using, Powersupply watts and rails, Graphics driver version your using... ram amount?

There was a simuler prob in XP like this.

Right click icon and run in compatability Win200 once.
stop game and then change it back to normal.wprks evey time.
