How do I work my headset?

I have a USB Logitech headset, and when I have it plugged in and the game running for some reason when I go to sound options to do the volume test, nothing happens when I talk. Does anyone know how to get it to work?:p

Try to detect your microphone from Windows first, then from bf. I should help

Open your windows volume control and make sure its not muted (You might have to go into options to add the mic volume to the list.
Also, make sure its plugged into the pink slot, most pc's have it color'd where ur mic goes.
You can test your mic in windows, just talk into it and you'll be able to hear yourself.

i dont see y ppl always suggest opening up volume control to unmute the mic. mine is muted but i can still use the mic fine in game and it works even when i test it in volume options

Be a cute trick. Didn't know you could plug USB into regular mini-jacks.

Juimmy, CreativePL is on the right track, make sure that the mic is working in Windows first. I know I have seen posts here before regarding BF2 and USB headsets, so maybe search a bit and you may find the answer.
