Vista CTD again! New graphics card ??

I have had my current computer for a few months now. The OS is vista 32 and it ctds when ever i start BF I know that my system is under the requirements but when i had my old XP comp it ran fine and that was also under the requirements. I was just wondering if buying a new graphics card is the way to go and if you have any suggestions for which one i should buy.

EDIT: I have tried reinstalling Vista and i have went through most of the forums for help on the net to no avail

You should post all your pc specs anyway. Vista requires a little more than XP to run both Vista and BF2, so BF2 could easily not run (well) if your specs are the same. More likely, a lack of RAM is the problem, compared to a new graphics card.

An old celeron 1.4GHz, 256 MB ram and a GeForce4 (or whatever you have, jokingly) is outdated if it barely ran BF2 before.

See how cheap decent computers are nowadays? Or, you could just build your own and save some more $$$

Have you checked to see if your video drivers are the most current? With the new OS they have been updated a few times since the Vista release.
