bf2 not connecting to account /vista

hey all i have vista 64bit and i installed bf2 and the game starts up fine but when you go to login to your account it never does ..the bf2 icon just keeps spinning does anyone know why this is or how to fix it .

i thought it might be firewall but look its enabled

Did you run the game as Administrator? Right click on icon, select 'run as administrator', and continue. I use Vista, but I also don't use the firewall (behind a router). Other than that, what are some of your other pc specs?

edit: willing to bet a buck this thread gets moved to Support.

ok i found out its this

All I needed to do to run my game in Vista as KillJoy stated is right click the BF2 icon and Run as Administrator

Or turn off UAC (User Annoyance Control), and then you don't need to go through the "Run as Administrator" garbage.
