Re: Special Forces install problem
WAIT! Try to copy the disc to the HDD first and install it from there. The files will sometimes transfer OK even if it won't install. Windows explorer doesn't seem to be as sensitive to IO speed as Installshield is. If you can't figure it out how to copy to HDD, post up.

Re: Special Forces install problem
Yo....you need to patch between BF2 and SF!!! I just did a fresh install and it forced me to patch to 1.1 before SF could be installed!!!!
So my question to you is did u patch?? and if so did u use the full patch??
Good Luck. IF it is the disk you can put it in one of those CD scratch removers and spin it a couple of times.

Re: Special Forces install problem
SF will patch itself to v1.1 when you install it.
To copy the discs to the HDD:
Go to my computer. Right click on the BF2/SF cd and select open or explore. Select all of the files on the CD and drag them to a folder on the HDD (or copy and paste them, same difference). Do this for all of the discs. I placed all if the disks in their own folders in one master folder, see attachment. Then, to run the install, go to yourfoldername -> BF2 -> Disc1 -> setup.exe. TO install SF, SFDisc1 ->setup.exe.
Then, patch to 1.41 after you are finished.
