OK Ive said this before....WTF?!?!?!?!

ok people, I'm back from the Outer Banks of North Carolina
I left at 6 AM EST on Sunday July 1st, I got back home LAST NIGHT (7/7/07) at 11 PM EST unloaded the truck, and went to bed
I spent all day today cleaning the truck and putting stuff away, I log on to my PC for the first time in a week and Im cruisin the forums and I read a post here something about rank or stats or something...anyways I decide to open my stats page in another tab and I see that since I left I have gotten over 1500 points, 2 more fav victims and that my last battle was YESTERDAY at 3:42 AM thats about 18 hours before I even got home.

SO, WTF IS GOIN ON

I mentioned this before a while ago that I thought someone hi-jacked my account because I seen fav victims appear that I dont recall ever seeing....like Hellsavage ....FFS you'd think I remember killing a guy 30 freakin times, but now Im pretty sure of it. My house was empty for 7 days, I never gave my password to anyone so how can this happen.

Hmm, that is odd. Have you tried changing your password and stuff? I know its a stupid thing to ask but sometimes it's just that simple lol

something is definitely wrong with the stats server more than they are letting on. every time I join a game now, I'm awarded the medal of valor. every game.

Its EA. No kidding.

We had a problem with the stats and several people call this the "Black Out". I guess that you already know about that though. When EA finds stats that havent been credited to your account, that you earned, they show up and get the date that they arrived added to them. Thats why you have stats that arrived in your account while you were away. I have some of those myself. You need to remember though that this info is based on what Ive seen happen with my stats. You still could be a victim of the evil adding stats bandit. Sorry if Ive confused you but I think that this answers your question. . . . . . . . . . . . . .Red

no no no, you dont understand Adam, it shows "last battle" so I know its not old stats
after further looking into my stats history, I seen that my account sat idle for 6 days then 1500 points in a day, A DAY BEFORE I came home

and as far as being mad about free points, its not about the points actually, its about WHO is doin it and WHY

this has been going on for some time now, it happens all the time where I wont play for a day or 2 and come back and find Ive earned 1K - 2K points and I was nowhere near a pc when my last battle occured, Ive also gone to one of my favorite servers and find out that Ive been banned....this has happened 3 times now and upon contacting admins I find out that I was banned twice for excessive team killing and acting like a f**kstick and actually banned once for HACKING......THAT ONE I know wasnt me LOL
but do you see my point? its not about the points, its about what the smacktard is doin with my name, and worse yet, have they gotten into my pc all together or just my bf2 account? did I piss someone off while in-game and they singled me out? or did someone pick a random account to fug with?

It's not you, or your pc, or your account. It's EA, the stats are still borked and they're allegedly updating the backlog from the outage.

Ok lets say its someone doing it. Maybe you could have a program running on your computer that would tell you when you are on line in the game? Like X fire maybe? Then you could go and catch the bad guy in the act. All you would have to do is let your computer stay on when you are home. You do have more than one account dont you? Maybe you should change your log in password for your account. Even that might not stop them though but its worth a try. Any other Ideas, anyone? . . . . . . . . . . .Red

Yea, they are updating the backlog, and when the stats are processed, it thinks you have just received them like an hour before they were processed. Thus, you receive strange "last battle on" times.

I wouldnt worry too much Gunslinger...although you have stated this happened to you in the past already. But just today I was checking my stats 7/9/07 and found out I have been playing BF2 in my sleep. Its like 6am in the morning but according to my stats I already played today. I stopped playing BF2 at like 6pm the following day. Not to mention I must have earned like 600 points yesterday but have only been awarded a fraction of that.

This does give me hope that maybe the stats are retroactively updating. The only thing that sucks is its speed and the way they are being processed. Its like someone said before, any stats gained during the black out will be appearing as if you played recently.
