    losing connection

    why does this keep happening ive followed **** loads of guides ie update punkbuster turn off comm its really starting to do my nut in, and making me not wanna play the game it always comes at the worst time aswell. I know im not the only one who this happens too but has anyone found a permenent fix for this connection crap. My spec is windows xp sp2, 2.0ghz intel p4, 1270g ram, ati radeon 9600 xt, and im on a 8meg broadband connection through a netgear dg834 adsl2 router and yes i have opened all the ports and no windows firewall is not on, i hope theres a clever tech guy with the answer, please help Thanks in advance

    Well I'm no tech guy, but it could be a lot of things....
    Questions first: do you use wireless?
    do you share your internet connection with other users?
    can you browse the internet without problems?
    do you use a bittorrent client to download?
    do you use a reputable ISP?
    what applications, if any, do you run simultaneously with bf2?

    And finally what *exactly* is your problem? Does it say 'there is a problem with your connection?' and then 'your connection to the server has been lost'?
