Im growing tired of seeing all these "WHAT... MY STATS ARENT RECORDING NOW!!!!" threads. My message to you is read the news on the front page please or at least use the search function on the forums. It seems like everyday the front page is littered with these threads full of people making wild guesses about what is going on.

We have received some news today about the on-going problem with BF2 recording stats:

We have identified the problem causing the recent stats issue that has affected a lot of Battlefield 2 players. Our planned fix will ensure that your current and ongoing stats are recorded. In the meantime, we are going to start seeing the stats being processed from the time of the outage. When this happens, over the course of a few days, you may see little to no relevant updates to you stats. This is not because any stats are lost or broken, and you should see normal processing continue once everyone's stats processing from that time that the stats are caught up.

Thank you for your patience the last couple of days.
Be sure to stick around and we will keep you updated.

As part of our work to address the recent stats issues we will be retroactively processing the backlog of stats from the days when stats weren't properly registered. This is a time consuming process that will take a number of days, beginning Monday July 2nd. During this time your stats are unlikely to accurately reflect your recent game performance, however once everything is caught up they should return to normal. We appreciate your patience during this process and apologize for any frustration caused.

Newer posts are on top some of them near the bottom were taken from the early days of the stats outage and may have vauge and outdated data I just put all the relevant ones here.

Until catch-up processing of stats is complete then stat update issues will be ongoing for some servers and players. Having said that, this process is absolutely neccessary to ensure that nothing is lost from that week. The server guys are continuing to do what they can from their end now the cause of the problem has been isolated.

Once everything syncs back up then the stats should be working as before however we appreciate that the wait for this to complete is not ideal. I can only appologise for any frustration in the mean time, getting things back to normal is still our top priority right now.

I believe the catch-up processing is still going on which is why stats are working fine for some of you but not everyone. I'm working on getting further information on the current situation from the server guys.

Stats processing from the affected days will be processed from today. This means the next few days of stats will be somewhat odd but once everything is caught up it should be back to normal.

There are a few servers still working, I noticed a few linked on the EA UK forums. The fact that there are still some servers reporting stats is one of the perplexing things about the issue, but it's also one of the things being taken into account by the teams busy with working on this. I'll let you guys know as soon as I hear something new once I'm back in the office tomorrow.

Until we fully understand the situation I can't make the call either way, it depends entirely on precisely where the problem lies. In previous situations like this stats accumulated during the down time have not been lost. As soon as we find out what the issue is I'll know if stats have been lost or not during the outage and pass that information straight onto you guys.

Just to update you all here that progress is being made on this issue, albeit not as fast as we'd all like (i.e., fixed this second). One thing we have noticed is that it isn't 100% of servers being affected, in fact there are more getting stats processed than not. As to what this might indicate, we're not yet certain but we'll get to the bottom of this. Once again, sorry for all the frustration this issue is causing, I'll update you all the moment I hear anything further.

Just to clarify those are just some of the angles we're investigating here - EA Violet posted that particular request as it requires input from those experiencing the issue. The solution isn't immediately obvious but we're continuing to investigate, as are GameSpy.

Bottom line stats catch up process will begin on monday some stats have been being recording on some servers but there is no guarante that because your stats updated one round on that server they will update the next. No stats are said to be lost just delayed. The problem will take them time to be caught up as they have almost 3 weeks of downed stats in one of the busiest times of year to update and they have to take care of their normal load already so all your stats wont be proccesed overnight.

I have been getting stats just fine for a few weeks now on any server I go into. I know people are still complaining about the week or so of lost stats but whats done is done ... If they get added, they get added... You have your stats working again, now go in game and enjoy

At least in that game i know my stats are updated as long as i save my game.

I don't care either way, tbh. I just feel a little bad for newer people who are trying to get guns and can't--since there really is no other way to get them, than in a ranked setting.

Either way I just wish more people would play mods and support them that way. It keeps BF2 alive and fresh. And some mods that are coming out in the following months and all the great updates to the current releases look amazing.

For those of you who don't know about mods, download 'MODJIVE' made by the SIR Community. Its a program that DLs and installs certain mods for you--makes it even easier to get mods. It will also update mods for you.

Mbrosmer they posted that it would begin monday on the tuesday of this week so yes Im sure they mean the 9th when they say monday. and a stat padder is a broad term it really means someone who tries to get points without playing the game as its meant to be played.

THe most common is if you have at least 3 people 1 on one team and 2 on the other the person on the team with one person kills the guy on the other team and then that guy gets revived by the second guy who is a medic on his team and so on. Another method is to flip over boats and then just repair them.

but you can easly be caught as if you try the first one your BR will be an obvious sign that you stat padded and in the second one everyone will be able to see that your boat is flipped over.

Just so you guys know, like FYI. Like a lot of the people here Im just a player of BF2 and I live in the middle of nowhere (Kentucky). So if things work for me they should be working for you too. The points I score now will show up just like they did before the "black out". Thats not the info I wanted to pass on though. Today I checked my stats on BF2Player and to my suprise some of the points I scored during the "Black Out" have been added there. (Ive been keeping a running total on paper by my computer, thats how I know) If the points are starting to show up for me they should do the same for you too. All you have to do is wait untill the server that you scored them on gets processed. I just thouht Id pass this bit of info along to you guys. . . . . . . . .Red
