Sniping Ownage Stories?
Sniping is fun for me, because it’s such a weak class, you have to be sneaky and clever to do well with it: ownage comes less often but is much more satisfying.
If you're doing really well, you might even get kicked for suspected hacking.
Things like baiting a squad into chasing you around a corner, where they run into your clays for five easy kills, or no-scoping some bunny hopper, those are all great moments, but my most satisfying ownage-episodes to date were these…
Wake One-Shot
On Wake, walking alone towards the Chinese main along the ridgeline, and here comes a lone guy in a jeep. He goes launching down towards the beach, but spotted me as he flew by, so once on the beach he turns around, gunning it up the hill to run me over. Easy sniper kill he thinks.
I drop prone, line it up on his forehead, and boom he’s dead and his jeep stops about an inch from my nose.
Hand77 whoever you are, that was such a sweet moment.
Thanks so much for the opportunity.
Same Guy Five Times
On Jalalabad, in the Outpost. USMC is trying to go up the hill to our left. Squad leader is in the rocks, with a medic to keep him alive.
I head-shoot the SL. Medic revives him.
So I shoot him again. The medic obligingly revives him in a flash.
I don’t even have to shift my point of aim for the third shot. Boom. You killed uscisdabomb. Again.
Now the medic wakes up. He waits for a second, then rezzes the guy after he slides down the hill a little.
Another lucky shot and it’s my 4th headshot this magazine. One round left. Out come the shock paddles, zap zap the guy pops back to life...
Yes, you know it. BoomHeadShot.
Medic rezzes the guy and they run away as I’m reloading. Oh what I’d do for a 100 round mag in the L96.

Putting a Squad Down
On Jalalabad, I was on top of the hotel, sniping towards the MEC main. Squad comes around the corner of a distant building. 5 guys. I drop one, and the others turn to rez him: now I know who the squad leader is.
I line up, and as soon as they rez him, I headshot him again. As they’re running around in circles, I headshot a second one. Then a third. Time to reload, while the last medic and support guy are proned out, tossing med packs and ammo bags at each other's heads.
They bring the squad leader back up, and I headshot him. Medic I get a lucky shot into, then finish him with the pistol.
Support is all alone now, so he spins around in circles while shooting wildly, then stops. That final headshot was just so satisfying.
One sniper versus one squad, and they never figured out where those rounds were coming from.
Anti-Jeeping on Dalian
I’m running around as a solo sniper on Dalian, and here comes a jeep with three guys in it, gunning across that little isthmus of land to the central coastal spawn. I get a clever idea.
I drop one clay to my left, and another about 3 meters to my right. Then I jump up and down, shooting my pistol in their direction, as if to say “Hey I’m an idiot sniper, come run me over!”
They fall for the bait.
Here they come, zoom-zoom for an easy roadkill – the gunners don’t even bother to shoot at me, they’re so sure of my demise.
I back up a little, dodge to the left... jump jump over here you guys...
and sure enough, here they come, lined right between the two claymores in the grass… yes yes yesss they're coming straight for me - BOOM!
Not all clay kills are whoring. And none were more satisfying.
