Hi when i am shown the screen to login to my bf2 account i enter all my details then im shown the retrieving account details screen and thats it thats as far is it gets it never loads beyond this screen ive tried reinstall, repatch, all the things i can think of. I purposly used incorrect passwords and user names and it begins to load but tells me the passwords are incorrect. This is not the first time i have played i have alot of play time on bf2 but this just happened one day and ive never been able to get back on again. Does anyone have a similar problem or does anyone know how i can resolve this, thanks in advance.

make sure you are using nickname in the nickname section and not the email section when retrieving you're account.
1st try you game name and password if that doesn't work then select the box that asked for you're email and password.

Hey thanks i tried those but it seems that when i log in it just freezes up music still plays and cursor moves but my main menu never shows it just sticks on the connecting to server screen?! but like i said if i purposly try an incorrect pw user name or email it begins connecting for a little while then.. as it should.. tells me my pw/login is incorrect.. but only when i use all the correct details it freezes up its really irritating me.Comment

Just a thought, I had a similar problem a long while ago. Some update on the firewall started blocking bf2. Might be worth a try.Comment

Hi thanks, i previously attempted this when i had norton with no luck, and eventually replaced it with zonealarm. I just tried disableing my firewall.. "Zonealarm" and instead of it freezing on the "conencting to login account" it closes bf2 to desktop?
