Change the video setting to "low" and see if it makes a difference. Be sure to click apply aswell :P

300w PSU is pretty low, regardless of what hardware your running. Maybe thats your prob. Give us your full specs plus the settings you are playing on.

Do you overclock any components? If so try unclocking them and seeing what happens

Your PSU is indeed on the low side, but it could be artifacting due to overheating. What are your temperatures like?

TBH I think your PSU is seriously under powered. Try this site for a PSU power recommendation >>> http://www.extreme.outervision.com/p...ulatorlite.jsp

I'm guessing it runs fine for a little while then starts to do that? Your PSU could be croaking its last, or the gfx is dying, or the RAM is failing.... etc. Lots of causes but its best to start with the obvious.

meaningless. what is the brand and what are the specs on the side of your psu, specifically how many amps are supplied to the +12v rail.

if it's a hardware fault, i'd lean toward overheating.

but i'd try this first, before troubleshooting hardware:

                        from tweakguides:

These optimized files are stored in your \Documents and Settings\[username]\My Documents\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\cache\ directory. If you've changed your settings several times, I recommend you finalize your changes, close BF2, go to the above directory and delete everything under the \cache\ directory. The next time you start the game and play single or multiplayer, your shaders will be optimized again. Close BF2 one more time, defragment your hard drive, and now things should be much smoother and load much faster the next time you go to play BF2.
