    7300LE BF2 Issues

Ok so here's the problem, it might just be me, it might be the memory, i might be pushing my gfx card too far but i got to play bf2 on medium settings (Default) and every time i'll be playing with good framerates for a while then the screen just freezes, there is still sound but it just freezes. I think it may be I'm pushing it too hard, or that 1gb of RAM isn't enough. Please post your thoughts.

Edit: The card has 512mb of onbaord Memory and I got it as a part of my new PC last August, and is a Pixelview and is fan cooled.

Edit: I'm also saving for a 8600gts, is it worth going for the 512mb edition?

    Edit: System Specs:
    Pentium 4 3.00ghz Running at 3.45ghz
    PixelView 7300le 512mb
    160gb SATA
    1gb DDR2
    350W PSU

Ive always played BF2 with 1 GB of DDR400 so im sure you're good there.
There have been some times, where bf2 has locked up, and I was able to use the ctrl + Pause (Break) command but I havent ever seen it work on another machine. Dont ask why, not real sure myself.

See if you can minimize that game and then go back into it.
    Use Ctrl + Escape

    or try

Alt + Ctrl + Del, and then try getting back into the game to see if it was refreshed. If you try either of those and you cant see the task bar, you can use the Alt + Tab command to switch it back automatically.

Another thing I would suggest is to test your hardware, but thats kind of secondary, unless you have been experiencing other problems in windows or other programs.

I posted a sort of how-to section here:

What are you other specs on your comp by the way?

freezing usually means the V-card is going, same **** happened to my old ATI one. It froze every round until it just died one day...

passively cooled or does your gpu have a fan on it?

either way, sounds like you're overheating. watch/monitor/log your temps in game. 80C is beginning to get into the caution zone...90C means you need to fix it...100C is getting close to the melting point of some components.

also, i think your card uses system memory? if so, you don't exactly have as much for your system as you might think.

edit, if it's something like this:
We’re sorry, but this page does not existing. Please visit our home page for more information.

then (carfully) rigging a fan like this:

to it might solve your problems.

it may or may not help to point out that a 4-pipeline, 64-bit card is not going to run bf2 very well, but i'll toss it out there.

I am surprised you can play medium with that card, i would suggest playing on low.
