odd ping issues

Ive been playing BF2 just fine the past couple weeks, usually on maps with 30-40 people online at once. I got my settings sex to high on all fronts because the computer handles it nicely

but the past couple days i have been getting kicked out of every server because my ping has shot up to 150 instead of the usual 30-50

I have tried re-installing the game
I have run spybot and found no problems
I have lowered my graphics to low

and still i have high pings

running on cable modem direct hard line connection

any thoughts on how to fix this??

Setting everything on high usually increases ping.(I don't know why..) So it's better off being all high on a single-player account, and all set to lowest on an account you're going to play online with.

haha man i didnt even notice that, funny part is that T is no where near x ... i cant explain myself

Ill try updating punk buster and hopefully that works

also i tried setting all settings to low and still i have the same ping as high settings around 150

***UPDATE***

looks like updating PB worked, ping is back down to its usual 15-25
