    Can I improve perfomance?

So I bought BF2 the other day because it looked pretty good. The laptop I have right now is rety bad and I realise this but it does have the minimum specs (I think). Here's what it says on the sticker on the front of it:

    AMD Turion 64 2GHz
    ATI Radeon Xpress 1100
    1GB RAM

I'm not bothered about playing it on higher setting obviously. I have set them all to low settings and its still rubbish. I'm getting 15 fps if I managed to find out correctly. So I'm just wondering if theres any possibility to play a decent game on this laptop or will I have to wait until I get my new laptop soon?

what are the specs of the new laptop?

Well I'm thinking of getting like the Dell XPS M1710 or similar. Something just above £1000. I was hoping on putting this purchase off really but I guess I'll have to buy it a little earlier because this game doesn't want to run anywhere near smoothly even on the lowest of low settings.

For sure Desktop will be more effective, but there is always one thing- you cannot take a PC for a travel or so on.

Try to use System Mechanic Professional 7, it's great PC tweaking program
If you will use the trial version, just after 29 days change date in bios, works preety well ;p
