Crashing to desktop when i join a server.

I just got a new computer . I installed bf2 this morning and it worked fine. All of a sudden the next time i played it it crashed after loading about 90%. So I try again and this time as soon as i click to join a server from the list it crashes. Its been doing that ever since. My old computer is a lot older/outdated and ran it with no issues like that. My firewall is turned off when i play also. And i already tried erasing the contents of the profiles folder.

try different drivers, dont use the latest 94.24's, update your punkbuster, and try reinstalling the game...
